As a bird owner, I find this disgusting. To think that someone would devise something to force my bird to “forage” in order to get the treats that it so rightly deserves makes me furious. My bird is a part of my family just as much as my father or my mother. I am at fault for placing my bird in her cage, but it is truly sick to put something that forces my bird to dig into something to find a treat that should rightfully belong to her because of the distress that I put her through by keeping her in a cage (which I will be on record as calling a large cage). I am also offended by the use of the term “Working Bird”. That is shoving a human agenda onto my avian friend, and I will be damned if I allow my precious sweetheart be treated like me. She is my pet, and for her to do any “working” would be slavery. I cannot believe the pet toy companies these days. This is NOT okay.

It’s meant to be a puzzle-like challenge for your bird so it has mental stimulation and gentle exercise by figuring out how to get to the treat

And to keep your bird from the crippling boredom of captivity that can drive it into the avian equivalent of self-mutilation or punching holes into walls by providing it with goals and desirable rewards. It’s like a crossword puzzle with a sandwich at the end.

Hahaha oh my god. Seriously if you have a pet bird and you think this is a bad idea, then you’re probably a very bad pet owner. I WISH my birds would use these things… They just ignore them when I buy them.

This seriously pisses me off because TWO men of the “correct” ethnicity/race were asked to play the role of Khan. I don’t remember their names because this back when Into Darkness was in casting yo but they BOTH DECLINED.

So there’s a HUGE difference between “well, we asked the best in the business and they both said no, so we should go with another actor of the ‘incorrect’ race who is also very well suited for the role” and doing what the Hunger Games did which is literally only let white girls audition for Katniss.

When actors decline there is fuckall you can do. It’s shitty, no doubt, that Khan ended up being white, but BC did a great job in the role, while knowing he was third choice. I won’t begrudge him for taking it, and I won’t begrudge the casting crew for going with him after their best actors declined.

Yes because there are only 2 actors of the appropriate or close race/ethnicity of acting talent needed to basically stand there, say a few menacing lines, and beat the crap out of people before you go to a white guy. I think it’s great they went and asked 2 other actors before going to BC. I think BC did a great job with the crap he was given. But really? There are waaaay more than 2 actors of not-caucasian ethnicity/race in the movie business who could have played Khan.

Ugh, I got pretty much all of her costume done, but she did not want to take a picture in good lighting and bucked like a bronco. Now I have to fix her mane because she busted it >:c. Right now this is the only picture, in crap lighting and standing weirdly out of protest. It was hot out and now I am in a bad mood :c.
